Park Rules

Rent

  • Rent must be paid within three (3) days of the due date
  • After three (3) days your utilities will be turned off
  • After six (6) days your unit will be towed
  • In the event arrangements are not made for payment, Cypress Lake RV Park reserves the right to send outstanding balances to a collection agency for payment and any additional fees incurred will be charged to the licensor
  • A storage fee of $5.00 per day will be charged when the trailer is left on site in the event of early termination or nonrenewal of agreement for the following season.
  • Included with your rent: a camping spot, free park visits for friends and family (sign in at the office), access to all amenities.

Rent Payment

  • We offer easy, monthly payments
  • What this means is, instead of paying a one-time upfront payment, you can break down over 12 payments
  • These 12-payments include your reserved site, storage outside of the season, and all amenities the park has to offer
  • If you prefer to pay upfront, that works too
  • We are happy to accommodate the right payment plan that works best for you
  • Work with the park manager to ensure you are set up for success.

Cancellation Policy

  • Stays of less than 30 days:
  • a 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due upon check-in
  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before the arrival date will receive a refund of the deposit, minus a $10 card processing fee
  • For cancellations made within 14 days of the arrival date, the deposit will be forfeited.
  • Stays longer than 30 days:
  • a background check is required, and a reservation deposit equal to 50% of the first month’s stay is due at the time of booking
  • The first month’s full payment is required prior to check-in
  • Guests must sign an agreement that locks in the duration of their stay and requires a 30-day notice prior to departure
  • Cancellations made more than 30 days before the arrival date will receive 50% of the deposit back
  • Cancellations made within 30 days of the arrival date will result in forfeiture of the deposit
  • Failure to provide proper notice prior to departure will result in additional charges
  • All long-term guests are required to adhere to the terms of the agreement for the full duration of their stay.

Insurance

  • All renters must have insurance on their campers and vehicles
  • The park is not responsible for damage caused by storms or falling trees/limbs.

Check-in & Check-out Times

  • Check-in is at 1:00 pm and check-out is at 11:00 am
  • Contactless check-in and late check-out may be available upon request, subject to availability
  • Otherwise, we ask all guests to register at the office.

Quiet Hours

  • Please respect our quiet hours from 10:00 pm to 7:00 am
  • During this time, please keep noise to a minimum so as not to disturb other campers.

Utilities

  • Utilities are turned off from November 1 through March 15 (dates may vary by campground depending on weather)
  • You may visit your site and check your unit as often as you wish
  • You are responsible for the electricity used, and meters will be read monthly and billed to your account
  • Once water is shut off, no overnight camping or recreational activities, such as campfires, are permitted during the winter months
  • However, you may still check on your camper or work on your site.

Annuals

  • A utility deposit of $100.00 is required
  • If you leave before your membership expires, you will be responsible for the electricity until the end of that month.

Lake & Fishing

  • Enter at your own risk and beware of snakes
  • No swimming, canoeing, kayaking, etc are allowed on the lake
  • The lake behind the office is a pay fishing lake for anyone that is not a campground member
  • Daily tickets are available in the office
  • A KY State Fishing License is required to fish in the lake
  • Permits may be obtained at the Office
  • Please respect the rights and privacy of surrounding property owners is crucial, and it is essential to refrain from trespassing on their properties
  • Trespassing is not only disrespectful but also illegal.
  • *Please do not feed the Geese.

Kayaking & Non-Motorized Boating

  • Kayaking is only permitted during daylight hours for the safety of all participants (no kayaking after dark)
  • Secondly, wearing a life jacket is mandatory while kayaking to ensure everyone’s well-being
  • Additionally, individuals must be over 18 years old to kayak alone, promoting responsible use of our facilities
  • Finally, to maintain a family-friendly environment and prioritize safety, alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited during kayaking activities.

Fishing

  • All fishing is CATCH & RELEASE ONLY, fishing is allowed from dawn to dusk
  • No night fishing.

Pool

  • Enter at your own risk – no lifeguard on duty
  • Follow the posted pool rules which is essential to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all pool users.

Septic

  • Septic hoses must have a constant fall from the RV to the septic opening in the ground.

Campfires

  • Campfires are allowed in designated fire rings only
  • Please do not move fire rings or start fires outside of designated areas
  • Never leave a campfire unattended and make sure it is fully extinguished before leaving it
  • Make sure the fire ring is cleaned out before leaving for the weekend
  • NO trash in fire rings.

Respect for Others

  • Zero tolerance for Physical or Verbal Violence – One strike, you’re out
  • Please be respectful of other guests and their privacy
  • Do not walk through occupied campsites or play loud music or other noise that may disturb other campers.

Golf Carts

  • Only individuals who are 16 years of age or older and hold a valid driver’s license are permitted to drive or operate golf carts within the park
  • To further enhance safety, no person under the age of 16 is allowed to drive golf carts under any circumstances, regardless of adult supervision
  • Owners of golf carts are responsible for any damages caused by their use
  • Additionally, the use of ATVs, mini bikes, loud motorcycles, BB guns, fireworks, or go-carts is strictly prohibited in the park
  • We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to these rules to ensure a safe environment for all guests.

Pet Policy

  • We welcome pets, but for the safety and comfort of all guests, pets must always be supervised and kept on a leash when outside
  • Aggressive behavior or disturbances will not be tolerated, and specific dog breeds are restricted
  • All pets must be up to date on vaccinations, and proof is required at check-in
  • Owners are fully responsible for their pets, including any damages or injuries they may cause
  • Please clean up after your pet using the waste stations provided
  • Owners are required to be present and supervise pets that are utilizing the property’s dog park
  • Guests will be required to sign a detailed Pet Policy Agreement upon check-in.

Construction

  • Before starting any construction, whether interior or exterior (including carports, sheds, fences, decks, cabanas, gravel, steps, etc.), you must obtain written approval from Management
  • Ownership may, at its sole discretion, deny permission for such work
  • The expectation is that the site is left as you found it—no holes, safety violations, and flat and ready for the next guest, including proper gravel coverage.

Reselling Onsite

  • When selling personal items such as your RV or deck, please note that as the owner, you are fully responsible for the item until it is sold, but this responsibility does not extend to the land on which the item is located
  • Selling an item at the campground does not grant the buyer automatic admission to Cypress Lake RV Park; all new guests must go through the Cypress Lake RV Park approval process
  • If you leave the site and your item has not sold by the time Cypress Lake RV Park fills the site with a new guest, you are responsible for removing the item
  • If you do not remove the deck, you will be charged the cost of removal.

Speed Limit

  • The speed limit on the campground is 10 mph
  • Please observe this limit at all times for the safety of all guests, especially children.

Parking

  • Vehicles shall not block adjacent sites or roadways
  • No more than (1) group shall be permitted per campsite
  • Do not park on the grass or in the streets.

Gate Cards

  • Cypress Lake RV Park reserves the right to suspend gate cards without notice
  • Card violations include, but are not limited to; lack of payment or card misuse (i.e: letting unregistered visitors in).

Firearms

  • The discharge of firearms is prohibited on the campground at all times.

Alcohol and Drugs

  • Please keep all alcoholic beverages at your own campsite
  • We ask that you do so responsibly and not disturb other guests
  • The use of drugs, including marijuana, is strictly prohibited
  • Illegal drug use of any kind is PROHIBITED and is grounds for immediate removal from the campground
  • ZERO TOLERANCE – law enforcement will be called.

Emergency Procedures

  • In case of an emergency, please dial 911
  • For non-emergency issues, please contact the campground office during office hours.

Facilities

  • Showers and bathrooms are open 24 hours
  • We ask that guests do their best to keep these as clean as possible out of respect for one another.

Water

  • The park is on city/well water
  • Do not wash your vehicles
  • There are additional charges for washing your RV or other vehicles.

Appliances

  • Outside appliances of any kind are not allowed.

Trash Disposal

  • Please help keep our campground clean by properly disposing of trash and recycling in designated containers
  • All garbage must be put in your own plastic bags before being deposited in the Park’s dumpsters
  • This includes common areas, amenities, and your own sites
  • Please DO NOT bring trash from home, we have limited dumpster capacity

Loss of Items

  • The Park is not responsible for losses or injuries due to fire, failure of any utility, theft, or accident for any reason whatsoever.

Site Upkeep

  • All sites must be kept neat and clean of debris and in an uncluttered state
  • Trash and litter should be disposed of in designated receptacles promptly
  • Personal belongings should be stored neatly and not left outside to clutter the site or common areas
  • We will ask you to clean up your site if it fails to meet this requirement and if not updated in a timely manner will result in penalty fees.

RV Upkeep

  • All RV owners are responsible for maintaining their vehicles in a clean and sanitary condition
  • Regular cleaning of both the interior and exterior of the RV is required to uphold community standards
  • Waste disposal, including gray water and sewage, must be managed properly
  • Exterior decorations or modifications should enhance the aesthetic appeal of the RV park and not detract from it
  • Any outdoor furniture, grills, or recreational equipment should be maintained in good condition and stored appropriately when not in use
  • We will ask you to clean up your site if it fails to meet this requirement and if not updated in a timely manner will result in penalty fees
  • All camping units must be no older than 10 years, unless approved by management
  • Falsification of camper age or condition will result in forfeiture of deposit and void license agreement.

Off Season (Seasonal sites only)

  • Our camping season is March 15th – October 31st (subject to weather)
  • After the water is turned off, RV owners can visit to check on or work on their site at any time, but no overnight camping or campfires are allowed during the winter months.

Visitors

  • Your site is NOT transferable to another individual
  • All camping fees are non-refundable should you sell your camper or decide to leave for any reason, including violation of rules
  • All visitors need to check into the office and sign in
  • You are responsible for your guests and their actions, so have them review these rules and regulations
  • You are allotted 6 visitors per site, any more than 6 visitors you must get approval from management
  • Visiting hours are between 10 am – 8 pm.

Mowing

  • The grass is mowed during the week
  • Keep picnic tables, automobiles, and other personal items off the grassy areas to help our mowing crew.

Injury

  • There is no liability for an injury to or death of a camper or visitor to this campground
  • If that injury or death results from the risk inherent to camping
  • Inherent risks to camping include, but are not limited to, the risk of injury inherent to the land features, equipment, animals, or the negligent actions of the camper or visitor
  • You are assuming the risk in participating in camping.

Media Release

  • By entering the grounds of the Cypress Lake RV Park, you grant permission for the photographing of yourself and the recording of your voice
  • You understand that these materials may be used for advertising, publicity, or commercial purposes, both domestically and internationally
  • This consent extends to the Cypress Lake RV Park and its affiliates
  • You release Cypress Lake RV Park, its affiliates, and any authorized users from any claims regarding the use of such materials
  • If the subject is under 18, the parent or legal guardian’s approval is required.
  • (Disclaimer: If you don’t feel comfortable being photographed, please communicate with the park team to exclude you from any photography and sign an agreement not to be included in marketing efforts
  • Otherwise, without this agreement, it’s presumed that you comply with our use of any captured media.)

Ejection

  • The Park reserves the right to eject, without refund, anyone causing a nuisance or being inconsiderate to other guests, or vandalizing Park property.
